- Understanding with the student, once chosen:
- Agreement is revocable
- All funds must be used for school
- The student must graduate from high school
- Relationship between Group and student:
- Meetings with student: only at lunch or with parents’/guardian’s permission
- One Group member should act as liaison between Group and student
- There should be regular contact with student
- There should be regular contact with school
- Each Group should decide details about further criteria and contributions
- Group may reward grades with money, either as additional savings or to student
- Group may decide vocational school, rather than college, deserves support
- Group may impose behavior restrictions, or not
- The Lunch Group, Inc. is here to help, not to replace parents
- Listen to your student
- Have fun with your student: give gifts, attend school events, celebrate birthdays
- You are an inspiration – your value to your student is immeasurable
